Bird habitat has important economic value for city development and should be a central part of the wildbird park proposed for Island City.
Since the 2011 Fukuoka workshop, SAVE has continued to work on the technical aspects of the wildbird park design with the goal of creating a maintenance- and cost-efficient tidal mudflat that shore birds will actually use.
